One trap that many people fall into is the idea that regardless of the shots they take they can always fix it in their image editing software later.
Whilst in many cases this is true, doing so limits you severely in the quality of shots you can achieve. An old saying in video editing is, “garbage in, garbage out” and this applies to images as well.
Sure you can re-balance the colors and use various auto-correct functions but all you are doing in this case is raising something from the mediocre to the acceptable… aspiring to be ordinary!
